What this covers

This explains what information SporeToSpoon.com collects, why, and how it's used. "We" means SporeToSpoon.com; "you" means anyone using the website.

My Grow (growing dashboard)

My Grow works without an account. The species you're growing and your kit's arrival date are stored only in your browser's local storage — not on our servers — so this information stays on your device unless you choose to submit it elsewhere (see below).

Email reminders

If you choose to enter your email for stage reminders, we store it, along with the species and arrival date you gave us, so we can send timely reminders. You can stop these at any time via the unsubscribe link in any reminder email.

Grower photo submissions

  • The photo and note you submit become public if we choose to publish them, alongside an optional contributor credit (e.g. "Jane, London") that we add.
  • Your email address is stored so we can contact you about your submission, but is never displayed publicly on the site.

Purchases

Payment is processed by our payment provider (Square). We don't store your card details ourselves — they're handled directly by the payment provider under their own privacy and security practices.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, we use the name, email, and message you provide only to respond to your enquiry.

Third parties we use

  • Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery
  • SendGrid — sending reminder and notification emails
  • Square — payment processing

Your choices

You can use most of this site, including My Grow, without giving us any personal information at all. Where you have given us an email address, you can ask us to delete it via our contact page.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
